Registration & eligibility check

STEP 02

Document submission

Upload scanned copies (PDF, max 5 MB each).

  • Research proposal (2‑3 pages) as per format
  • Two academic LORs (on letterhead)
  • Category certificate (if applicable)
STEP 03

Research proposal refinement

Your proposal is reviewed; you may receive suggestions.

  • Potential supervisor feedback (if requested)
  • Submit final version within 7 days
STEP 04

Interview & presentation

Shortlisted candidates appear before the DRAC.

  • 15‑minute presentation of research proposal

STEP 05

Offer & fellowship

Receive admission offer and funding details.

  • Conditional / unconditional offer letter
  • JRF/SRF fellowship amount (₹37,000+ p.m.)

Enrollment & orientation

  • Pay semester fee (approx. ₹25,000)

Eligibility criteria

Minimum requirements for Ph.D. admission in Delhi universities.

Academic

Master's degree with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC).

Entrance exam

UGC‑NET / CSIR‑NET / GATE / university specific test.

English proficiency

IELTS 6.5+ or TOEFL 90+ (for international applicants).

Is there an age limit for Ph.D.?
No, UGC removed the age limit for JRF and Ph.D. admissions. All ages are welcome.
What is the typical fellowship amount?
JRF: ₹37,000/month for first two years, then ₹42,000/month for SRF. Additional HRA if hostel not provided.
Can I apply to multiple supervisors?
Yes, you may mention up to three potential supervisors in your application. However, final allocation depends on availability.
