STEP 02

Document submission

Upload scanned copies (PDF, max 5 MB each).

Two academic LORs (on letterhead)

STEP 03

Research proposal refinement

Your proposal is reviewed; you may receive suggestions.

Initial review by department coordinator

Interview & presentation

Shortlisted candidates appear before the DRAC.

Yes, some universities conduct their own entrance test (e.g., DUET, JNUEE). You may also qualify based on interview if you have a strong research proposal.

Is there an age limit for Ph.D.?

No, UGC removed the age limit for JRF and Ph.D. admissions. All ages are welcome.

What is the typical fellowship amount?

JRF: ₹37,000/month for first two years, then ₹42,000/month for SRF. Additional HRA if hostel not provided.

Can I apply to multiple supervisors?

Yes, you may mention up to three potential supervisors in your application. However, final allocation depends on availability.
